Miss Texas USA 2011 Pageant

I returned home ‘exhausted’ late Sunday night from Houston and the Miss Texas USA 2011 Pageant!  I had a great time throughout the weekend and I really enjoyed seeing all of my pageant friends from around the great state of Texas and loved making new friends as well.  I’m proud and excited to have represented the great city of Dallas at Miss Texas USA and having been a semi-finalist for the second year in a row!  What an honor it was to be in the top 15 with such a strong field of great contenders.  In addition to myself, North Texas had a very strong showing with Shannon McAnally, North Texas,  and Christina Campfield, Plano,  also being semi-finalists and Kathryn Dunn, Ft. Worth, a finalist!   My congratulations to them and to our new Miss Texas USA 2011, Ana Rodriguez, Central Laredo,  who will be a great representative at the Miss USA 2011 Pageant!  I also want to give a special thank you to all of my sponsors who helped me prepare for this years pageant.  I couldn’t have done it without their help and encouragement.

Haley and I had the wonderful opportunity to emcee the Miss Fort Worth Pageant on July 31!  This was my first time to host a pageant and I hope its not my last.  It was great spending the weekend with all the contestants and staff without having to focus on competing.  Being an emcee also allowed me to experience a pageant from a totally different perspective for the first time.  I truly enjoyed myself and am looking forward to spending the year with the new Fort Worth titleholders, Kathyrn and BreAnna.  Congratulations to both of them!
